Gyms & fitness businesses · Ireland
Upgrade your equipment, get a new location ready or keep cash available for the everyday costs. We help Irish gym owners compare merchant cash advances, term loans and equipment finance through specialist lenders.

For gyms with regular card takings that need working capital.
For established gyms investing in their current premises or another location.
Spread the cost of eligible equipment rather than paying for it all upfront.
Finance is subject to lender assessment. Unsecured term loans are not registered against property or business assets, but some lenders ask directors for a personal guarantee. Merchant cash advances depend on eligible card takings; regular direct-debit membership income is not automatically treated as card sales.

District One Gyms had an opportunity to open a new location and needed funding to get moving. We arranged a 24-month term loan to help secure the premises and complete the gym fit-out, while the team focused on pre-sales.
In the Google review shared with that story, the team said:
“When the opportunity to open a new gym came up we needed cash quick. Rather than wasting time with banks we went direct to Business Loans. Rupert did all the paperwork, secured the finance and we could focus on pre-sales. This allowed us to get the process moving fast. Thanks to the team at Business Loans the fitout is complete and we've already doubled what we borrowed with our pre-sales. Thanks again!”
That pre-sales result was what the client reported at the time, not a claim about profit or a promise of the same outcome for another gym. It is a good example of finance supporting an expansion while the owners concentrate on getting the new location ready.

A merchant cash advance can be considered from 90 days trading if your gym has regular eligible card sales, typically at least €5,000 a month. If most members pay by direct debit, tell us how those payments arrive so we can look at the right options.
Yes. An established gym may qualify for a term loan to help with premises, fit-out costs and working capital. Unsecured term loans require at least 12 months trading, one year’s accounts, annual turnover of €100,000 or more, a net profit and no recent missed payments.
Suitable new or used gym equipment can be considered for hire purchase or leasing. Send us the supplier quote and details of your business so we can compare the options.
