How we get paid

The lender pays us. You don’t.

We never charge you a fee. When your loan completes, the lender pays us a commission. That’s it — no arrangement fee, no success fee, no retainer.

Some brokers charge you a fee on top of what the lender pays them. We don’t. It costs you nothing to ask, and you only ever deal with the lender’s price.

Common questions

Is there a fee to use BusinessLoans.ie?

No. We never charge you a fee — not to ask, not to apply, and not when your loan completes.

So how do you get paid?

The lender pays us a commission when your loan completes. If your loan doesn't go ahead, nobody pays anything.

Do business loan brokers in Ireland charge fees?

Some do. Certain brokers charge the business an upfront or arrangement fee on top of the commission the lender pays them. Before you sign with any broker, ask in writing whether you'll pay them anything directly.

Does the commission make my loan more expensive?

You only deal with the lender's price. The rate and costs in your loan offer are set by the lender and shown to you before you accept.

How do I spot a client fee?

Look for words like 'arrangement fee', 'success fee', 'engagement fee' or 'retainer' payable by you in the broker's terms. If it's there, you're paying twice.
